Joe’s first communion today. He did awesome. The whole family was together and he did fantastic. More to come, but I just had to put something out there about how proud of him I am. He had such a sincere appreciation of the moment. I learned more from my son today about loving Jesus then I could have possibly taught him. Sometimes we should just listen. When Father Rick asked what brings us closer to Jesus there were some truly touching responses from all the children. Then Joe said “Baptism.” When I asked him why he said that he told me that is when we first start our relationship with Jesus. I should listen more.

What a sweet da this was!!! I lost my baby boy and gained another wonderful man in my life. Joe had just gottne dressed, Savannah was in the shower, and Justin was out on his morning run. It was just the 2 of us in the living room when he says “mom I am not a baby anymore I am a young man” of course i cried like a baby at that statement and held him for what seemed like micro seconds before he pulled away and said your going to ruin your make-up. Yep he is a little man now and one that I am so damn proud of. I couldn’t have been happier this Sunday with the beautiful, wonderful family I have been so blessed with.

You know how lame I am – I can’t find the cable to connect my camera to my computer. I have about 200 pics to download. It is becoming a real problem. I’m going to do a post on the graduation…
